Class 2A volleyball: Donoho fights to second consecutive title; thirteenth generally speaking

Senior Lily Elegance Draper brought back home competition MVP praises in driving the Hawks with 34 digs and 22 kills in the championship.

Donoho opened the main set in overwhelming style, taking a 6-2 lead prior to extending its benefit to 12-7 on the back of another 6-2 run. All-Competition Group: Joining Draper (MVP) in the All-Competition group were partners Perry and Wakefield, alongside Wonderful Valley's Bryant, Henry and (Maddie) Schwabe.


AHSAA volleyball super regionals: Class 6A, 5A, 4A, 1A groups acquire spots in state competition

Groups from four classes procured spots in the AHAA volleyball state title competition after the principal day of very local play.

Four groups from each class in two regionals - South in Montgomery and North in Huntsville - won two rounds of play, guaranteeing a spot in the following week's state competition. Class 6A, Class 5A, Class 4A and Class 1A will proceed with play in elimination round activity on Thursday to decide cultivating for the state competition.

Class 7A, Class 3A and Class 2A start play 피나클 in Thursday with eight groups from each class progressing.

In Class 6A North activity, Hartselle, Oxford, Mountain Stream and Hazel Green won to the elimination round while Northridge, Bayside, Spanish Post and Pelham progressed in South play.

Class 5A Bedouin, Lawrence Province, Jasper and Westminster Christian high level in North play and Montgomery Foundation, Fortune Christian, Confidence Institute and Bay Shores won to South elimination round activity.

Class 4A Deshler, West Morgan, Priceville and Madison District won in North play and Satsuma, Montgomery Catholic, Trinity and Orange Ocean side are as yet playing in the South territorial.

Class 1A Spring Nursery, Addison, Resigned and Agreement Christian are North victors while College Sanction, Brantley, Charming Home and Kinston progressed to South elimination round activity.


AHSAA volleyball super regionals: state competition groups set as play go on for cultivating

The AHSAA volleyball state title competition field is set after the second day of very local play with cultivating still not set in stone in three classes. Eight groups from every one of seven classes will progress to the following week's state title competition in Birmingham.

Very local play in Montgomery (South) and Huntsville (North) finished up for groups in Class 6A, Class 5A, Class 4A and Class 1A while Class 7A, Class 3A and Class 2A decided qualifiers, however cultivating will be settled on Friday.

Class 7A qualifiers are Venture, St. Paul's, McGill-Toolen and Coppery in the South while Hoover, Huntsville, Bounce Jones and Sparkman qualified in North play.

Class 3A qualifiers are Prattville Christian, Opp, Houston Institute and St. Luke's in the South and Plainview, Susan Moore, Ohatchee and Geraldine in the North.

Class 2A qualifiers are G.W. Long, Washington Area, Tuscaloosa Foundation and Bayshore Christian in South play and Lindsay Path, Wonderful Valley, Donoho and Fyffe in the North.
